Southbourne Parish Neighbourhood Plan 2024
On 27th February 2024 Chichester District Council approved the Southbourne Parish Neighbourhood Plan. This means that Southbourne Parish Council has a new ‘Made’ Neighbourhood Plan.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those Councillors (Current and Former) and Volunteers who worked tirelessly to create the plan and to all of the Members of the Public who worked with the Parish Council and Steering group, engaged with the process and turned out to vote at the Referendum.
What a 'Made' Neighbourhood Plan Means for Southbourne:
- It will secure 25% of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding, with no cap, to spend on Infrastructure for Southbourne. This Levy is paid for by developers on each house they build.
- It will strengthen the Green Ring, two wildlife corridors and Biodiversity policies for Southbourne.
- Its policies promote and support sustainable transport, local design heritage and green spaces and seek to protect and enhance
community facilities and shops.
Annual Monitoring Report
The Parish Council is required to send an Annual Monitoring Report on the Neighbourhood Plan to Chichester District Council and these are set out below.
